Lisa started her career in mental health when receiving an MS in Art therapy at College of New Rochelle. Her interest in ones unconscious world lead her to become a Modern Psychoanalyst, and received a certificate from the Academy of Clinical and Applied Psychoanalysis. She then received a MA in Mental Health Counseling at Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis.

For 22 years Lisa has worked as a therapist in a variety of settings, including psychiatric hospitals, autistic programs, and private practice. She has provided supervision for students in art therapy, modern psychoanalysis and counseling in both private and psychiatric facilities.
